We are thrilled to participate longside so many talented designers. It's also near and dear to my heart as the proceeds from the tickets sales for this showhouse support our local Stony Brook Southampton Hospital which is where my children were born, and it's vital to our community.When we were asked to design the primary bedroom and sundeck at this house built by Cavallo Building, who we've had the privilege of working with in the past, the ideas just started flowing. We really wanted to incorporate Fermob furnishings for the sun deck, and knew that acapulco blue was the right color for the space. Such a bold color was a challenge to coordinate with a serene bedroom. When we discovered the vegetable dyed floral fabric by Mark Alexander, the room really started to take shape as it was the perfect compliment to the outdoor space. We love layers and textures and nature and that is what you find in our room. From the lime painted walls to the caned bed to the lampakanay wrapped handles on the drawers and chip quartz beads on the chandelier, and the tightly wrapped ramie roman shades, the room is filled with natural textures. We sourced everything with sustainability in mind. We loved working with local artisans that worked with us on the wall hanging and art to add even more character to the room.
